Brain fart. I just read an article on Carter, so my 1928 reference was a slip. Vyse found the quarry marks in the 1830s.

The quarry marks were discovered in 1928 by Howard Vyse. He had to use powder to access them, so they are undoubtedly contemporary with the construction of the py ...

Steve, slaves were not used in the construction of the pyramids. This is in evidence, if you're ranting some other line you'll have to provide counter evidence.
