You can't really be precise about any date in the Early Bronze Age. Dodson gives a reign of 2290-2196 BCE for Pepi II, but beyond regnal chronologies we have some assistance from science.

If I'm not mistaken, Egypt in 18th Dynasty international exchange letters and Hittite annals is called (Land of) Misri, almost like in Modern Arabic (Misr).
