I just came across this tidbit of info.

Curiously I thought that the tomb of Amenhotep I had already been found??

I tend to gather that this site is not always reliable, which is why I'm bringing this here.

Nope, the tomb of Amenhotep, the founder of Deir el Medina, has not been conclusively identified.

Usually Tuthmosis I is considered to be the first pharaoh to have built his tomb in the Valley of the Kings.
I always thought it was assumed that Amenhotep I had been buried at Dra Abu el Naga?

It would be exciting to find Amenhotep I's tomb. I'm not sure I share the expectation of the author of the news article that there will be riches...

Amenhotep I's mummy was found in the Deir el Bahari Cache. So he was reburied in the Theban hills and not in the Valley of the Kings.
On the other hand there are other mummmies from the VK in that cache so who knows.
