Hello there,

Thanks Anneke for your link and for pointing on my website.
Thank you very much to all for your nice comments.
Besides I personally don't think the captions are quite as interesting as the pictures on that site, anyway.
Well, I'm afraid to say you're right .
Maybe it will be different in 10 or 20 years...

I won't translate all my Abydos pages but I'd be glad to answer some questions, if I can.

I wonder if the dam they're talking about that flooded the Oserion, is the High Dam of Aswan?

Well, it's not "they", it's only "he". Surely a reason why the captions need so much to be improved.

Yes, I'm talking about the High Dam.
I've read somewhere that the level of underground water has raised since the building of the High Dam.
That's the reason why the bottom of walls in a lot of temples (Karnak, Esna), are attacked by water and salt.

Probably there was some water in the Osireion, since the beginning, but not like now.

Hi there Very Happy That's a nice surprise. A warm welcome to our discussion board.

I have gone back to your site several times. It's nice to see photographs of many of the sites.

Yes, messuy, thanks so much for stopping in to chat with us. You're very welcome here. I may not be able to read the captions but the photos are wonderful, and I've enjoyed the site. Wink
