I seem to be getting nonsense dates for people's postings, ie they all seem to be along the lines of eg 9 J000000Monday10 2010. I understand 2010 but what does the rest mean? Do I need to reset something on my system?

Click on the Profile link at the top of the page.
Towards the bottom of the profile page there is a setting for the timezone and for the Date format.
The default date format should be: d M Y h:i a
What does yours say? I suspect that is causing the problem. _________________ "Man fears Time - but Time fears the pyramids" - Old Egyptian saying |

Many thanks for coming back to me Kevin. But I'm still at sea. I have looked at the relevant page link which describes how the date is set up - it is immensely complex and seems to give alternatives. I have no idea what is relevant out of all this.
Can we get to examples: I set my system up on Friday 9th July 2010 at let us say 1715 hours British Summer Time (BST). What should my string of parameters look like?
With many thanks

Thanks for coming back to me Kevin. I seem to have sorted the postings dates ok - but is there any way of getting them to default on 'newest first' rather than 'oldest first' as at present.
