Would be grateful if anyone could direct me to any sources with information on goddess Mau. Had a look online but could not find much.

Thank you!

According to my works on gods of ancient Egypt, there was no goddess named "Mau,", which is ancient Egyptin for 'cat.' Perhaps you have misunderstood the name of the goddess, in the form of a cat?

The closest I could come to what you want is /tA-mi(w).t nfr.t/, which means "the good cat," and was the object of a known cult in Deir el Medinah as a personification of divinity in general.

Perhaps you means one of the various cat goddesses known in the the Egyptian pantheon, such as

Mafdet ("The runner")
Pakhet ("The shredder")
Bast ("she of the vase")
and so on.

To find out more about cat deities, I suggest this work:

Malek, J. 1997. The Cat in Ancient Egypt. Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press.

Beyond that, most cat deities are also discussed in thsi work (for which you will need to be able to read German):

Bonnet, H. 2001 (1952). Reallexikon der Aegyptischen Religiongeschichte. Berlin: Walter de Gruyter.
