overall good video, but here was my comments when i first saw it and later i wrote to the lady who made it
and she admit tome the budget was not there and she knew i was right and in the future they hope to make more
but anyway here is what i said to her.

I WISH they would have shown the crowns of kush or some of it since there
was alot and shown more of the costumes, and the more elaborate looking
ones.THOSE kushite archers or many of them should have been wearing as well
shirts, helmet, armour and sandels(they may have but i can't see it from here
.Of course most nubians at this time still did not wear armour BUT they had
those thick looking belts.most or all later did however after kush had
armour in the later nubian kingdoms.

See how SOME IN THE EARLY kushite army dress, get the-national
geographic society magazine -vol.178,no.5 november 1990.there were
SOME changes in costumes in later KUSH and they had new ones but you
get the idea. this magazine deals with early napata.candace in this film
shown have been shown in her war costume with a helmet. next time with a
bigger budget it would be done right but this is a good start just to get the
basic image on screen.there was a few flaws in that mag.however, the kushite king and
queen should have had a broad face,of course i could not get a good look at piye.
i will leave the few other mistakes out.
MEROITIC WRITING was developed around 315 b.c.,it was the cursive
meroitic writing taht developed around 185 b.c. or 200 b.c.
cotton was used too and costumes were more elaborate looking than
egypt's or early nubia, even for the priest,so don't depend on the film here to
get a good idea of the varied costumes of kush.read the books and see the
art of kush.
hopefully.

maybe soon more films would come out about the post meroe period and christian nubia as well.

Thanks Kenndo, I just ordered this from Amazon to add to my library. I have also the February 2008 issue.

Thanks for mentioning this addition. Smile
