I am currently reading 'The Archeology of Early Egypt', by David Wengrow. There is a chapter on ancient Egypt 10,000-7000 BC, in it he has said, during approximately 10,000 BC, there is evidence of herders around and within Egypt, then he skips a couple of millenniums, to 7000 BC, where there is interesting information on the archeology and movement within Egypt, at that time.
Does this suggest that during 9000-8000 BC, the people were still herding animals, as they were doing so, during 10,000 BC?
What else is known of ancient Egypt, during 9000-8000 BC, if anything? |
