I started reading about Ebers papyrus, and I am stumbled on this sentence:

Ebers Papyrus treatment for cancer: recounting a "tumor against the god Xenus", it recommends "do thou nothing there against".

I am interested where is that sentence in the original papyrus and who is the god Xenus? Couldn't find anything about it. Also what is the hieroglyphic inscription for that god?

Also I don't understand quite well how to interpret that "prescription". I would appreciate some explanation.

Arrow p-Ebers, column 109, line 2

Quote:

xnsw - Khonsu (alternately Chonsu, Khensu, Khons, Chons, or Khonshu)

aA.t n.t xnsw - Tumor of Khonsu (or: the Khonsu-tumor)

I can't see the word (tumor) "against" (Khonsu)

Nice.
At least, Khonsu is a familiar name.

Thank you very much. I probably found wrong translation of text. Now it is more clearer than before. I also think that it is Khnosu, but I was not sure.
