When checking again this thread I just noticed that my post and neseret`s second post have crossed each other. Therefore my remarks on the gold coverings are somewhat outdated.
BTW, with "so the story seems to be true" I did not mean to say that I support Reeve`s theory that the goldmask was first made for a female.
I only wanted to say that there really were gold coverings/studs applied to the holes in the earlobes at some point.

We would say in Brazil: "Neseret mata a cobra e mostra o pau" (She kills the snake and shows the stick which killed it). Well done! Smile

KV-63 sounds like a very exciting find.

I find the whole concept of embalming caches and the associated reasons for having them so interesting!

Also that wooden frame does look very interesting- even more so if it was involved in the opening of the mouth ritual!

And i have also read there were pillows found in this tomb! I wonder what they look like and were made of?!

It seems like the burial rituals of AE are much more elaborate than first thought!

AE truely was an exotic place!
