Hi folks.

As regards New Kingdom tombs, are the grave goods stored in boxes etcetera ever (or often) inscribed with the names of co-regents?

NB To be clear, what I'm meaning by grave goods in the question above is not shrines and coffins and canoptic jars; what I mean specifically are worldly goods that the deceased is taking with them to use in their lives beyond the grave.

The question can not be answered. In the New Kingdom there was only one secured co-regency : Thutmosis III and Hatshepsut (see, for example, Aiden Dodson : The Coregency Conundrum. - In: KMT 25-2. - 2014. - pp. 28 - 35).

It happened that the deceased king had objects with the name of ancestors in his tomb (Echnaton in Amarna : stone bowl with the name of Chafra and one with the name of Thutmosis III; and of course the well known objects from KV 62 - Tutankhamun). From KV 34 - Thutmosis III we have a shroud, donated by his son Amenhotep II for the burial of his father.

Greetings, Lutz.
