If anyone is considering going to Egypt, now is the time to do so.
Tourism has hit a low. There are very few people at the most popular sites, giving greater access to those who do go.
Prices for hotel rooms in major cities keep going down.
Guides are literally begging for work.
Unfortunately for the Egyptians, this is a booming time for the visitor.

There has been a very small upturn in tourist numbers over the last month or so...we are seeing more people on the West Bank and in Luxor itself.

However, the overall numbers are way down. Tourist numbers at the Red Sea resorts are not so badly reduced but, in general they are coming for the sea and sun not the antiquities.

Shame I would think people would be flocking to the Pyramid sites and temples. I guess the best thing I can do to help is share my love of Ancient Egypt with people. I think people should go. I am thinking about going in Janurary.
