So I have been looking around for different spellings of hieroglyphic renderings of the word Ma'at and can not find any, because in Akkadian renderings it is spelled mu-wa (from the name Ni-ib-mu-wa-ri-ia) and was wondering if this 'u' sound was somehow indicated indirectly in the hieroglyphics... I do notice a difference in spelling in comparison with for example mɜ(j) = lion (this word sometimes has 𓄿 as a complementary attachment indirectly indicating the 'aah' sound = ⲘOⲨⲒ in Coptic = maɜ Middle Egyptian); the same can be said of the word 'cat' (ⲈⲘOⲨ) which actually indicates a w in the latter phases of the language. In the normal spellings of Ma'at , 𓌳 is generally used with no complementary letter. Is there a variant spelling that I am not noticing cause I am not fully understanding where this 'u' comes from other than in Akkadian renderings of the word and ⲘⲎ(Ⲓ) / ⲘⲎⲦ in Coptic.
