And again the employees of the project for the regulation of the groundwater level at the Kom Ombo Temple announce a spectacular find:

" Egyptian Archaeologists Discover Stela of Liberation Queens in Aswan " (Luxor Times, 11.10.2018).

The image area of the limestone stela shows the Queens Tetisheri and Ahmes-Nefertari, back-to-back, in front of whom a male person presents offerings. The cartouches of Amenhotep I are clearly visible under the winged sundisk at the top.
The stela is an important evidence for the Temple of Kom Ombo in the New Kingdom, but also for the struggle of the Theban rulers against the Hyksos and for the role of the female members of the royal family in it.

Greetings, Lutz.

I wonder if it is contemporary of these rulers or if it is from their 19th/20th Dynasties cultual context.

If my rudimentary knowledge does not completely leave me, the stela can be dated by its inscription to " Year 11 " of Nesut-Bit " Ḏsr-k3-Rˁ " / Sa-Ra " Jmn ḥtp " (Amenhotep I) :

Greetings, Lutz.
