I still don't see Mädchen Amick or a comparable beauty wandering around...
No, we're not yet in Lynch-land. Sad
We still have time...

Harry, apart from the Palace and Sheraton, did you manage to visit any of the other hotels?

yeah, movenpick, gorgeous meals in there, old cataract in aswan, the pool in the winter palace was out of commision would you believe, and there was a shuttle bus running between it and the sofitel karnak. if you can get your head around this they were putting in heating, and as i didnt bother with swimming at all ,or drowning as i like to call my attempts at swimming, in the second week, i wasnt inconvenienced by it.swimming and sunbathing would have used up too much valuable walking time.
the taxi drivers and calleche drivers outside the winter palace gave up even asking me for business because i walked everywere.apart from coming home late at night.the room service in the sheraton, were i ate with friends one night was one of the most incredible sized portions i have ever been served anywere in the world.stunning for £2.50 sterling

Hmm...and lovely ice cream. Cool
Did you try the 1886, or was it too hot to wear a tie? :onfire:

d'oh!: Glad I wasn't on holiday, we spend all the afternoons in the pool. And, without a doubt the Winter Palace is the best pool in Luxor, although a little away from the main building.

I think only Harry (and maybe Kevin?) knows what I look like - and probably even Harry doesn't realise it. Wink As is the case with most photographers, I hate having my photo taken Laughing, much prefer the other side of the lens.

Would you reccommend travelling to Egypt alone, or in a group? I'm the only one interested in my family so I'm the only one who would want to go.

Depends on the individual. Harry is obviously a very confident person and was always comfortable with the idea of travelling alone. If you have any doubts I would suggest travelling in a group, at least for the first time. Also depends on your gender, women on their own are more likely to feel a little uncomfortable.

So you did recognise that photo of me in the ebook Wink Laughing

Considering the number of times I have been to Egypt, would you believe that is one of only about half a dozen photos that I have of myself. Must remember to have a few taken next time, or no one will ever believe I've been there Wink - hope you got others to take your photo Harry?
