Confused Please help.

Are you from Egypt/in Egypt? I always thought Egyptians were fairly dark/brown skinned, but anyway...it must be horrible to be teased because of your skin colour. That's almost like racism, and racism is pretty evil Evil or Very Mad ...either that or people are just being immature, and that really sucks.

But there is no safe way of lightening your skin, as far as I know. Keeping out of the sun might help? But don't go bleaching it or anything...that is dangerous.

You shouldn't be ashamed of your skin! You should ignore the immature comments and flaunt your differences! Very Happy I don't see anything wrong with your skin being dark, so treat it as a blessing rather than a curse, be pleased with what you have. Smile

Sad

Nah, I'm a white Londoner, but there are loads of Arabs in my college, from all parts of the middle east...and yes, their skin tone varies. but I've haven't really seen proper racism happen in my schools and colleges because they're so multicultural.
But don't worry about your skin tone! Be proud of it and ignore anyone who teases you and if it gets bad, talk to a teacher or school counsellor. (I've been teased and taunted before-not for my skintone but for other reasons-but I know how it feels, it isn't nice...)
