Anneke,
About the coffin they gave two explanations in the book , because the high quality and therefore the value of the coffin , it was not destroyed when the tomb was desecrated but removed to be re-used. The other explanation is , the workmanship of the coffin is exquisite and in quality it can be compared with the Cairo Statue of Nakhtmin. Both must have been produced in the royal workshops of the capital, i.e. at Memphis. The possibility for Senqed to have acces to the royal workshops can be plausibly be linked with his close association with Ay, thus it will not have been until in the reign of Ay that he could have commissioned the coffin. Considering the short reign of Ay , it is more than likely that the coffin never left the royal workshops in Memphis, but that before it could be delivered to Akhmim , Horemheb gained power and anyone associated with his rivals Ay and Nakhtmin was disgraced.

I have also The Amarna Age : Egypt Frederick J. Giles

I highly reccommend this book. It's one of the best I have ever read. One of the things I like so much about it, is the way that Giles documents all of his teories and ideas that he presents in his writings.

I found this article of Jaromir Malek about The "coregncy relief" of Akenaten and Smenkhare from Memphis .
In his book on p 141 frederick J. Giles The Amarna Age : Egypt . He mentions the conclusions of Malek on these blocks.

The original article by Malek can be found in the giza pyramid archives maintained by the Boston Museum:

http://www.gizapyramids.org/code/emuseum.asp?newpage=fs_simpson

This is the link to the pdf file:
http://www.gizapyramids.org/pdf%20library/festschrift_simpson/39_malek.pdf

This comes from their general page of downloadable articles and books:
http://www.gizapyramids.org/code/emuseum.asp?newpage=authors_list

Most of the articles and books deal with the Giza plateau, but there are a handful of other articles.
