Now, now, young lady! I put my July 4th greeting in its own separate post. Nowhere in your Canada post did I write anything about the 4th. You ought to be spanked for that!

So was I. Laughing Happy birthday, Canada!

I'm just sorry I can't make it rhyme like in anneke's post. I'll bet in between math texts and Egypt books she lights incense and writes romantic poetry. Very Happy

I shouldn't have written "romantic." I used to write a lot of poetry--we're talking years and years ago, when I was studying to be an English teacher. I still love reading poetry, but by "romantic" I meant the genre, not the mushy stuff. Wink

LOL Never seriously tried my hand at romantic poetry.

I would quite literally have to wedge the incense and the paper between the math texts and the Egypt books Laughing

I have books absolutely everywhere Rolling Eyes

Might freak my cat out though.

Somehow reminds me of a story my niece told me yesterday:
She was sitting on the couch and decided to start singing. Her cat rolled herself in a ball, put her ears in her neck gave her a dirty look, and then jumped off the couch and RAN out of the room.

Now, mind you, I'm not saying my poetry would be THAT bad, but then again....

Man, do I know how that is. This afternoon when I got home from work, I had to clear away two whole shelves of old books on other subjects to make more room for my grotesquely burgeoning collection of ancient Egypt books.

I think I'm about ready to open my own book store. I'll call it John's Junk Boutique.

LOL That must have been a sight. I LOVE cats. Just watching them provides hours of entertainment.

But not as much as the great deals on books you'll find at John's Junk Boutique on the northside of Chicago. Stop by today for our blowout sale! We also have discount prices on mummification. Now, back to our program...Very Happy

Whoopee! Sat in my recliner last night and watched the huge Navy Peir fireworks show through my south-facing window. Fireworks from the comfort of my apartment.
