Aper-El was the vizier for Amenhotep III - sort of like a prime minister.

I dunno a lot about him, but anneke will prolly be able to you everything down to his sandal size.

He doesnt have an oval thingie - a cartouche - because that is reserved for the kings and queens.

Aperel was Vizier under Amenhotep III and Akhenaten as Juju mentioned.
We had a discussion about him here:
http://forum.egyptiandreams.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1143&start=0

In short: His tomb was discovered in Thebes by the French under the direction of Alain Zivie.

Aperel was buried in the ciffs underneath the Bubasteion and the coffins belonging to Aperel, his wife Taweret and his son the General Huy were found in the tomb.

Aperel was a child of the kap, meaning that he grew up at court and was raised along with the royal children. I have not read anything about who his parents may have been, nor what family his wife belonged to.

This is a scene showing Aperel in his tomb. Apparently with his daughter.

I don't know of any other depictions of him.
