Got to love Angelina's lips.
Do u know anything about an "Arthur"-movie coming up?
Heard something about it, but apparently there's not a lot of fuss around it. _________________ "Leave him in error who loves his error."

I've heard about the new Arthur movie but about the only people in it I've heard of are Keira Knightly and Ray Winston. It's due out 7th July (in the US probably) _________________ "Man fears Time - but Time fears the pyramids" - Old Egyptian saying |

Hi Isis!
Yeh I love those films! The best for me is Stargate (the film done years ago). The series got quite rubbish. The film's a classic though! I like the blend of the present day and ancient times in it. In general I quite like flights of fancy and imagination. I know that the films arn't perfectly accurate but I like the feel of the culture in Stargate and the characters. People interest me in the films.
The other thing, is that I find these films quite inspiring. Indiana Jones was the film that got me interested in archaeology when I was younger and an influence of ancient times can be enough for me to go off on my own day dreams. I don't mind a bit of comedy too! _________________ Shalom |

Well I'm looking forward to King Arthur! Looks like it's going for entertainment value more then the epic but I could be wrong. I'm just going by the trailor.
Only thing is, I still haven't seen Troy yet! I'm a bit behind on my viewing!
You know, you long for these types of films to come out and then they all come out at once!
Although, I'm not too bothered about Troy in a way. Most people I know have said it's rubbish. But I would still like to see it, even if it's more for entertaining then in the origional epic style (although that would have been brilliant). I'v been studying Ancient Greece at uni too.
*Do excuse my sometimes random uni references over the forum. I'm still really chuffed and in almost disbelief that I'm there. It has been one year now but still... Happy days!* _________________ Shalom |

THE ATEN!
Pregnant Oprah Winfrey could be Akhenaten
Michael Jackson could be Smenkhare
Ramesses off "The Prince of Egypt" could be Tutankhamun.
Natalie Portman could be Nefertiti
and britney Spears as Akhensenamun.
Done. |

And that's worrying, coming from me... _________________ "Leave him in error who loves his error."

Yesterday, when coming home, I laid down my glasses on my desk.
Appeared I placed them on a book about Akhenaten.
He really looks cool with glasses. _________________ "Leave him in error who loves his error."

How about Bill Gates as Akhenaten,
Orlando Bloom as the ominous Smenchkare,
Haley Joel Osment as Tutankhamen,
Sarah Michelle Gellar as Ankhesenamun
and Monica Bellucci as Nefertiti?
Some would have to dye their hair...
and Gates and Osment would be two very lucky ***... _________________ "Leave him in error who loves his error."

Michael Jackson did have an Egyptian themed video-but nowadays if he was in an egyptian movie, he'd be more suited to play a mummy
I have a picture of Jacko that makes him look EXACTLY like The Mask (the Jim Carrey movie)
Most of those actors you mention do not look liek Egyptians at all! I certainly hope these 'fantasy cast listings' are tounge in cheek...mind you, I think Monica Belluci did star as Cleopatra in a recent French film. And Orli...well, I think you know what I'm going to say about him *tries not to drool* _________________ High-Priestess of Isis, Hereditary Princess, Lady of Philae, Favourite of Osiris, the Lord of Abydos, Daughter of Horus, Chantress of Bastet, Superior of the Kitty Litter

Did Brad Pitt look like Achilles then?
No need for a film to be historically correct.
(just not totally incorrect is good enough) _________________ "Leave him in error who loves his error."
