Gabrielle is a mommy of 5 fur babies.
Starting last night (4/24) at 8:15 pm her 1st born a cream colored Tabby, a boy named Seti. 6 toed (front)
An hour later came Nefertari same color regular toed.
Next about a 1/2 hour later came Isis. A black torti calico, like mom. 7 toed (front).
She's the runt.
4/25-----Yes she sure drug this out forever!. I was pooped, I had stayed with Gabi ever since 8pm. So I went to bed, even though I knew there was another one wiggling around inside.
Sometime between midnight and 2am Maatkare(the name Hatshepsut took upon ascending to the throne) was born. Same color as Nefertari and Seti. Regular Toed.
That was it?........I got up at 7am.....I had already been up at 4am checking on mom and the babies......Well sometime between that and 7.........The 5th baby showed up.
Nepthys. Very much a twin to Isis, but with more creamy spots evident. Normal toed.
Through the first 3 babies, Nicolette, Minuette's baby that Gabrielle helped raise, literally played midwife to Gabi.
Daddy, Montesquie, kept checking on mommy through out.......Animals aren't stupid at all. A couple of other males looked, but they weren't interested since they weren't their's.....In fact Montesquie was being a damned nuisance at first.
The vet thought had problems spelling the names of my boys......who through the last 2 week have been getting neutered, should see these names. But since Seti is the only boy, she's getting off easy this time!

I sure hope he doesn't look like Seth as well...
Must have been traumatic childhood nights in that case...
Would explain a lot though... |

The babies are doing great.......I had to pry mom out of her hutch to go potty, she wanted to stay with them and held it for about 12 hours.

It's funny to see the cartoon
I also have one of these Egyptian Goddesses around the house. She plunks herself in front of me in the same "Worship and Pet Me" pose.
And if you dont comply she yells at me (either that or she's performing an ancient curse....) _________________ Math and Art: http://mathematicsaroundus.blogspot.com/ |

Aww that cartoon is so CUTE!
My mum's friend has a cat that I call the 'divine feline', her mannerisms are very Bastet like, as are her graceful, beautiful looks...plus I look after a cat that I call the 'sphinx' because of the way she poses, like a sphinx.
I love cats, as you can tell =^_^= |

That's true-there's a pharaoh one, there should be kitties!
I swear I once saw a 'smiley site' where they have emoticons of the Egyptian gods, or maybe that's my imagination playing up on me
Here's some goddess emoticons I made up...
)o( Hathor
¬( Isis
I'm having problems trying to do other gods... |

Hmmm cheek from the 'peaceful one'! A misnomer me thinks
If Set looked anything like my ted I doubt he would have got quite the reputation he developed! _________________ Priestess of Hathor, Superior of the Harem of Min, dedicated to Maat, beloved of Seshat and Nekhbet.
