Yes, does putting Aye's quote on one line help?

I had to shorten my titles. Was too long too.

Short, to the point, a little pretentious, but not overdone...
Fits me. Cool

Back to the subject, I've read the names of two viziers to Tutankhamen (before or next to Aye?) once in the well-known book of Nicholas Reeves. One of them was called Oeseramon, but I never heard of him afterwards. Anyone here with a copy of Reeves' "Tutankhamen"? It's in the part just after Nefertiti's sucession if I remember correctly.

About the 18th dynasty the Vizier of Upper Egypt wrote:

Thutmose I & Thutmose II:
Ahmose (father of Useramon) L?

Hatshepsut:
Ahmose (father of Useramon) L?
Useramon (uncle of Rechmire) L?
Senmut U?

Thutmose III:
Useramon (uncle of Rechmire) L?
Rechmire U

Amenhotep II:
Rechmire U
Amenemopet U

Amenhotep III:
Aper-el L
Ptahmose U
Ramose U

Akhenaten:
Aper-el L
Ramose U

Touregypt mentions this 18th dynasty Vizier:
Quote:
To was a vizier who intervened when workers engaged in building the royal tomb began a strike due to a lack of adequate rations. To was actually only able to supply less than half of the rations required.

I wonder where he fits in?

They also mention
Quote:
Rekhmire' was an official during the 18th Dynasty who served as vizier to Tuthmosis III (1479-1425 B.C.). The son of a priest of Amon, Nefer-Weben, and the nephew of the vizier Woser

Woser is presumably the same person as Useramon?

In the old Kingdom royal sons often held the position of Vizier:

3th Dynasty
Imhotep - Djoser
Kai-irusu (possibly father of Kagemni)

4th Dynasty
Kagemni - Snofru
Ankhkhaf (son of Snofru) - Khufu
Hemiunu (son of Prince Neferma'at and Princess Atet) - Khufu
Menkhaf (son of Khufu by a lesser wife) Khephren

5th Dynasty
Weshptah - Kakai

6th Dynasty
Djau (uncle of the King) - Pepi II

11th dynasty

Amenemhet - Montuhotep IV
This Amenenemhet becomes King

12th Dynasty
Inyotefoker - Amenemhet I

Also mentioned for the 12th dynasty was:
Shemai was a vizier in all the Twenty-two nomes of Upper Egypt, who had a decree granting precedence over all other women to Shemai's wife Nebye, and whose son, Idi, was appointed Governor of Upper Egypt in the seven southernmost nomes

This one must come from a legal papyrus:

19th Dynasty
Praemhab was a vizier who was, according to Amennakhte, bribed, so that Pneb could replace Neferhotep as chief workman

Why would a Vizier have to bribe anyone?

A strike? Sounds very 20th dynasty-ish. Too bad u can't look up 'To' in google. Smile

Fact is that he was the last vizier in a family which had held the office for 3 succesive generations (before Rechmire his grandfather Ahmose and his uncle Woser (Useramon)). He appears to have had sons, who could've followed him, but sometime during the reign of Thutmose III he must've fallen out of grace, causing his sons not to follow in his footsteps and soon after disappear in obscurity and getting his tomb 'attacked'. Must've been some big mess-up he'd done to deserve such a thing...
