It does look cool but if it's genuine should it be on sale? - Dr Hawass won't be impressed! Twisted Evil

conorp,

Thanks for posting the link to the website of Christie's Razz .

There is also a limestone BUST OF THE PRINCESS HENUT-TANEB on sale.
The second daughter of Amenhotep III and queen Tiye.
Never heard before of this limestone bust of this princess.

Has anyone more information about this bust of HENUT-TANEB, because I wasn't able to find any info about it in my books about Amenhotep III.

Indeed, very nice av Rozette Smile

The Henuttaneb sculpture is very interesting. Although I see no inscriptions on the sculpture. So that begs the question: why identify her as Henuttaneb?

The only depictions of Henuttaneb I know of is a cene at Soleb and I think she's represented among the daughters shown on some of the statues in Amenhotep's mortuary temple.

The back pillar with the lotus carved into it is rather unusual isn't it?

Not even sure how they would even be able to date this to the reign of Amenhotep III Confused Unless the provenance documentation says more about where it was found?

I took a crap-ton of screenshots of "Henut Taneb" anyway, because after it's sold no one will ever see it again. That's what sucks about private collections.
