A spammer sent PMs to several people. Kevin (the administrator) removed the spam. The spam was removed from your inbox Smile

This happened to several people. See:

I think the spammer, whoever it was, inadvertently did some good, by recalling some interesting but little-known members into the spotlight.

Who could have suspected the existence of Lady-of-the-West, whose single post of March 2007 tells us that she has been fascinated by Ancient Egypt since childhood, and whose last sentence mysteriously breaks off forever in the middle of a word?

Mayameritay, your artwork is worth more than a casual glance. The portraits, a number of which have been inspired by the Amarna period, have a haunting quality. In some cases the eyes are so expressive that the effect is almost scary.

I also seem to remember there was someone else, who led an informative discussion among other now almost-forgotten members about an accurate copy of the bust of Nefertiti in the Berlin Museum, but his post has been removed and I canít remember his name.

The Moderators have their reasons, I suppose, which the Reason will never know.

Sorry, Moderators!

The member I meant was jb007, who posted unexpectedly under Pharaohs and Queens / Nefertiti Help on 31st July, the same day as most of the other responses to the PM / spamming incident.

I guessed that he had been sent a ghost message, but I donít think he actually replied here, so my cruel reproach was unfounded.

Thank you for the words about my paintings! Very Happy I like the Amarna-Period very much, this time is full of questions to be answered. At the moment I read again a lot of books about egyptian history, Iīm in a hospital.
