Hi there!
Nice to meet you all. I've found myself on this site because i was researching the possible meaning of a dream i had last week. In the dream, I was lying in an egyptian type of canopy bed in the dream... there were drapes everywhere, high ceilings and lots of details on the ceiling. I saw a very large, round jeweled like beetle on the ceiling (or maybe on the canopy). it seemed to be about 6 or 8 inches in length and plumb. the jewels insides its shell were very sparkly and many different colors. Then i noticed another one on the canopy/ceiling and then many more appeared. All very beautiful and plump. I think one began to fall as i awoke. This dream was very vivid. when i awoke i felt as though the dream itself had tried very sternly to make sure I remembered the dream and i immediately recorded it on paper.
Would anyone have any idea about what this dream may mean?

I am of irish decent.

I'm new to this type of site. If i am being rude at all by asking for help - please let me know!

Thanks and again, nice to meet you!

xo

Welcome to Egyptian Dreams Very Happy

Asking questions is fine!

My first thought was that it sounded a bit like a bejeweled beetle as found in Tutankhamen's tomb?

I know there's another even more colorful one, but I can't find an image on the spot.

That's a nice piece of jewelry. I think men should adorn themselves again.

Cydali, the sacarab beetle you saw on the ceiling makes me think of the roof of Dendera, on the ceiling at Dendera there is a zodiac or calendar of the procession of the stars.

I guess I thought about that because sacarab beetles are the personification of Kephri who is a symbol of the young sun. It being on the roof and jeweled sounds like a stary sky.

The Dendera temple is dedicated to the goddess Hathor, a cow goddess. There is a sacred lake, a temple of Isis, wife of Osiris, and a Mamisi, a birthing building, at the site.
