This site has a report on the recovery from the water of (part of) a pylon of the temple of Isis. It's meant to become part of an underwater museum.

There are some nice pictures of what is described as a tower which was part of the pylon.
The temple is part of the complex dating to Ptolemaic times that disappeared under water.

There is mention in some press reports of an under water museum where plexiglass tunnels will allow people to see artifacts under water.

Cleopatra's palace and other buildings and monuments lie strewn on the seabed in harbour of Alexandria, the country's second-largest city.
I wonder if its possible to build a wall and fill the entire bay with fresh water, then after the salt has dissolved, empty the entire thing?!

Does anyone know if there is a site where we can see all of the items discovered underwater on display? It would be nice to see those uncovered and also ones still underwater.

I hope that future underwater ventures in Alexandrea's waters can shed further valuable information for future study?
