Hi
I am interested to know if anyone knows any information about the following tombs.I would particularly like to know if anyone has recently worked in them but any information would be appreciated:
TT 25, TT 84, TT 123,TT 157, TT179, TT 295 |

TT 157. Nebwenenef (Nb-wnn.f), High priest of Amun, Temp Rameses II.
Nebwenenef is shown followed by a fan-bearer appearing before Rameses II and (Merymut) Nefertari in a palace window. Nebwenenef is being appointed as High priest of Amun (year 1 of Rameses II).
Other titles: High Priest of Anhur, High Priest of Hathor, Chief of Seers.
Wife: Takhat, Chief of the Harim of Amun, Sistrum player of Mut, Chief of the Harem of Hathor, Chantress of Isis.
Son: Smatawy, High Priest of Hathor
Daughter (of Smatawy?): Hathor, Chief of the Harem of Hathor.
A 'sister' (wife of Smatawy?) is mentioned: Irytnofret, Chief of the Harim of Hathor.
TT 179. Nebamun, Scribe, Counter of grain in the granary of divine offerings of Amun, Temp. Hatshepsut.
Parents: Yotef (Steward of the Lord of the Two Lands) and Ahmose.
Wife: Sentnefert.
TT 295. Thutmose called Paroy (or Tuthmosis and Paroy), Head of the secrets in the Chest of Amubis, sem-priest in the Good House, Embalmer, Temp. Tuthmosis IV - Amenhotep III (?)
Parents: Sennuter (sem-priest in the Good House) and Senemioh(bet);
Wives: Nefertary and Rennutet.; Son: Huy.

The tomb of Nebwenenef (159) is mentioned extensively in kitchen's Ramesside Inscriptions. kitchen gives translations of the inscriptions.
I'm not sure anyone is presently actively excavating these tombs.
But if so, others here may know about that. |
