My favourite Egyptian goddess would have to be Bast, as I love cats; I also feel a sort of connection to her. I consider her history very interesting and she makes me feel protected (since she is a protective goddess), and I have dreamt of her a few times.

I am also very fond of Seshat, as I spent years as a student librarian and love books, and I like that she is known as Mistress of the House of Books; my 'intellectual' side hence loves her. And of course Ma'at, the basis of Egyptian civilisation; she is fascinating, both as a deity and as a concept, and thinking of her actually helped me keep going during a difficult part-time job! Wink (There is a somewhat similar concept of dharma in Hinduism, too.)

As a librarian I have to have a certain fondness for Seshat.

If I was still in the public library field, I think I'd dress up as her for Halloween for the kids. Educational and fun too.

She looks rather sexy in that slinky leapard print sheath dress too--albeit with a sensible high neckline and sleeves. Maybe I should make one up anyway.

I've always had a fondness for Bastet. And Seshat as well.

Simply, I like cats and books.

I'd have to vow for the god Khufu, not the pharao!
The god whom Khnum Khufu was named after.
It's the biggest secret in history!
