Hi.
Just wondering if anyone can interpret this dream for me?

I was in a desert I think. And was kneeling before Anubis, next to this other women who was also.
There was a Pyramid in the background that crumbled away before our eyes. Me and the other women both jumped to our feet, and i stretched out one arm/hand toward him, and Anubis called out 'Down! I will rebuild it' and we both quickly got down on one knee and bowed our heads down to him.
I felt a feeling of lust/love toward Abubis in this dream, and it was obvious he did toward me also.

Can anyone help? Or have I just eaten too much cheese before bed? Idea

Hi Princess,

Egyptian Dreams as a forum name does not actually mean talking about dreams. There are other sites out there, where you will be able to discuss such things as lusting over ancient deities in dreams.

But for now, i would lay off the cheese before bed Wink

Dream interpretation is fringe i am afraid... Shame on you

If, on the other hand- you were to start a thread on Anubis (or any other AE discussion), then all will be forgiven.. Wink

Iíve always heard that eating cheese, at least some sorts, before going to bed, can lead to having dreams and even nightmares. I think they are the mould ones, you know, the cheeses that create a natural crust of fungus in the aging process.

I have to comply with Stuart, E.D. is not the place where we discuss or try to explain dreams even when they go about A.E.. On the other hand, dream explanations were common in A.E., and there are several records of those, in which somebody tells a dream and it is interpreted by a priest.

And off course welcome to E.D., you can learn a lot here about A.E., just remember that most of us approach the study about A.E. from an archeological and scientific point of view.

Why can't people post about their dreams? Other people have before now...?

Dream explanation isnít an exact science, and can easily lead to miss interpretations and fringe theories. And if, allowed, it could lead to much more visitors and members, but that would also include that the danger exists those same people would also try to prove their points in other more serious discussion, based on their dreams or visions, or whatever one sees when under influence ofÖAnd that is just what the admin and moderators are trying to avoid.

It would surely lead to endless discussions between forum members just to have their point proven. E.D. gives much freedom to discuss anything related to A.E., but it draws its lines and those are, archeological and scientifically finds and investigations, and we even can and may discus and/or accept deductions brought forward from these, even when not entirely proven.

Well, surely people can share their dreams? If they want interpretation or analysis, then clearly that's now what the forum is here for...

As long as it stays in the general section it's ok. The general section was specifically designed to "house" these kind of discussions.

Anneke, that's what I thought. I'm sure I've read a few 'dreams' before. Thank you for clarifying that,

Correct Dachief, as Anneke also says it is allowed. But I donít think however there are members who are trained in dream explanation. And Princess, though I believe she didnít had any mall intent, specifically asked for an interpretation. And thatís the tricky part off course, I guess we all could find a different explanation for her dream. In any case, I myself rarely have dreams about A.E., and I canít do the trick with the cheese, it gives me nightmares. Strange, but true.

Donít let us scare you of though, there are many interesting topics to discover and to read here on E.D. or ask questions when you doubt about something you read or heard about A.E.

I like chocolate also very much, and Iím lucky to live in Belgium, we make some of the best chocolates in the world (I say "some of the best", because the Swiss donít like to hear that) Laughing

Well i may have stepped out of line a bit. Anneke has stated that it is ok, so i would take her word. It appears that there are some who wish to discuss this with you, so i apologise, Princess
