Good question. I think the solid gold mask was made oout of what they call "beaten gold".
I'm not sure, but I think that means that the metal workers used instruments to pound it into shape.

The way it might have been possible also, is pouring melted gold into a mold. I know in Sumer they had furances that were powered by the oil fields around the neighboring area. Egypt may have had some furances where gold could be melted. |
