Hello all, this is my first post! There has been some strange happenings at night time, and I would much appreciate some help trying to interpret these dreams..so here goes!

(My most recent, confusing dream)

I fly over some land, totally aware I am dreaming. Below me are 3 huge solid gold pyramids, with lots of inscriptions and symbols. I land and take a closer look at the largest of the three. There is a large symbol, and below it a wheel with strange letters and within that wheel another with symbols.

I looked at the inscriptions for a while. The strange letters started to make sence to me, and I red an inscription on the pyramid that said 'TIME REMOVAL MACHINE'

For some time I just looked at the huge golden pyramid, although I was to scared to touch it! I pondered if it was a time machine or even some sort of nuclear bomb...the sky was a purple colour and the clouds moving far faster than they do on earth..

From there I ended up in a long coridoor with two beings, they was talking about the pyramid, but I couldnt understand what they was saying..I tried to, as I seemed to feel it was inportant, but had no clue as to what they was saying!

After the dream, I found a website with symbols. The symbol I saw above the wheel on the pyramid was the symbol for pi (the mathmatical symbol)

After a bit of searching the net, I found out that all the pyramids are built using pi , most of the information goes way over my head! I would never have known this, I know very little about pyramids and my maths is terrible, I knew I recognised the symbol, but had no idea it was pi. or even that pi-was linked to pyramids!

Any help with interpreting this dream would be fantastic!!

Thank you for reading Smile

I think you are on the wrong discussion board. This board is to discuss ancient Egypt, not for sleep related issues.

Goes to show you should not believe everything you read on the internet Wink

There is no evidence whatsoever that pi was involved in the building of the pyramids.

I heard that the dimensions of the pyramid do calculate pi pretty accurately. I think you take the height of the pyramid times 2, divided by the perimeter, and you get pi. Just like the formula for the circle's circumference, radius times 2 multiplied by pi equals circumference or perimeter.

The dream sounds like fun. I think it means studying egypt is something important for you, something that will bring you out of the constraints of time. Those two beings probably want you there.

And we should brush up on our math.

Just because we can come up with some random measurements, multiply and divide some stuff and come up with a number close to 3.14 does not mean that the architects of Ancient Egypt had anything remotely similar in mind when they built the structure.
That just proves we know what pi is.

An alternative (and based on what we know of Egyptian math) much more likely scenario is that what we see is not based on pi, but on a 3-4-5 right triangle.

Working with pi requires knowledge of irrational numbers (which they did not have as far as we know) or be able to at least use decimal notation (also not available).

A 3-4-5 right triangle can simply be constructed using knotted rope.
The angle of the 3-4-5 triangle is 53.1 degrees which by the way is exactly the base angles of the true pyramids. With 4 as the height and 3 as half a side, you do get that perimeter/ twice the height is about 3.

Brushing up on math is good, but also understanding the nature of their mathematics and what they did and did not use in computations is important.
