Okay, we all love Ancient Egypt. Applause But there are two other very famous cultures out there in the Great Green. Both had their effects on Egypt in different ways. Which do you find more interesting to study?

I'm going to start the ball rolling by siding with the Greeks---

I never really got into reading up on either.
But I guess I have a slight preference for the Greek Culture.

I'll have to go with Rome; if for no other reason than its massive influence on every Western culture that followed, directly and indirectly.

I voted Greeks almost entirely because of The Odyssey. But then, I enjoted the Aeneid almost as well, and that's Roman poem, so there you go. Tough call indeed.

Even though I obviously prefer the Egyptians above anything else, I voted for Greeks. One simple reason: I loathe the Romans!
They came, they saw, they ruined, they oppressed, then didn't leave much and to this day ruin otherwise passable books (like Moby Dick).
{gets off high horse}

Thank you for your kind attention. notworthy

They've bled us white, the b**tards. They've taken everything we had, not just from us, from our fathers and from our fathers' fathers. And what have they ever given us in return?
