From the Ohio Historical Society...
An Evening with Amunet
Saturday, September 7, 2013, 5-9 P.M.
Ohio History Center
JOIN US for a night of learning and celebration in honor of Amunet, the 2,000-year-old mummy who has been in the Ohio Historical Society's collection since the 1920s. Thanks to the 21st-century 3D imaging technology of The Ohio State University Wexner medical Center, OHS will unveil the 3D reconstruction of Amunet's face at this event. The night includes fascinating presentations by experts on mummies, the 3D digital imaging, and the 3D facial reconstruction process.
Guests will also learn about the ancient beer-making process and taste a beer inspired by Amunet, created by Barley's Smokehouse and Brewpub, The Actual Brewing Company, and North High Brewing. Hors d'oeuvres will be served.
