What started your interest in Kemetian culture (and its neighbours)? |
Because it has the most extensive records of ancient times. |

Salutation everyone,
I am pretty enthusiastic to finally having found a discussion board regarding everything Egyptian. After registering EgyptSearch and then TheNileValley, I was starting to think Egypt-related forums are such closed-circle since I couldn't start any thread (or post) without some consent that never arrived.
Regarding my little person, I always had a knack primarily for Physics/Chemistry, Etymology and Ancient History. Rather discordant subjects. Except the studies I do to become a technician (related to Physics), recently, since two months, I have this hobby to read a lot regarding ancient history. I don't know why exactly (except it might be tied to mystery and unconclusively in similar fashion of mystery shows), but starting medieval period, I quickly lose interest.
My interest isn't only focused on Egypt and its neighbours, but I have orbited around this nation since it has the best records and the most ancient ones at the same time. Furthermore, it gives insights on Africa. Myself, I can't explain, but I'm rather attracted to africa, history (although it's an unfathomable history since writing records aren't existing outside Egypt before 1000BCE).
Out of curiosity, how did it come you had the knack for Egypt (+neighbours) subject? My reason is because it belongs to the four "mainstream" pool of civilization along Euphrate/Tigre, Indus and Yuangtze. _________________ Kmt is not a racial term nor a reference to the black silt deposited on the Nile valley, but an expression of "standing on place wherein food is plenty, allowing to stop moving like the neighbouring nomads". -Asar Imhotep |

"The feels" when one doesn't get a welcome yet despite being an actual active member.
