New (old) colour on the walls, cleaned old display cases ... Work is already underway at the newly-pollution eager. Laughing Very interesting of course the photographing visitors ?!?

I suspect the old rule about photography (under Hawass) was scrapped in view of the need for tourism.

In the past, with a slight (in EGP) charge, you could photograph (sans flash) to your heart's content. Very Happy Of course, there are concerns about the flash from cameras destroying artefacts' paint, but considering the low visitor load is at the moment, perhaps they have scrapped that as well.

That would be a problem if the numbers pick up because (back in the good old "full of tourists" days) it was calculated that there would have been over 2.5 million flashes from cameras in the Cairo Museum alone. Shocked
