I saw this reported on a few days ago...impressive! I still find it amazing that there are still undiscovered tombs to be found. |

There are for sure still many to be found, alone on the Westbank in Luxor. Now, after the houses in Qurna and El-Tarif are gone.
In addition to the over 400 tombs listed in "Porter & Moss I-1. Private Tombs" (1970), Friederike Kampp gives in her book "Die Thebanische Nekropole" (1996) another 550, which, until then, had only been partially or not at all investigated.
And in 1996, there still were the houses (build normaly right above a tomb) occupied and usually inaccessible to researchers ...
