Servants did continue to be buried in or adjacent to kings tombs for the entirety of the 1st Dynasty, with some evidence that they were killed or committed suicide when the king died.

Djet's tomb as 174 burials of servants or retainers.
Merneith (queen) had 40 retainers buried with her.
Den had 136 subsiduary burials, with evidence that they were strangled.
Anedjib's tomb included 64
Semerkhet included 67
Qa'a had 26
